Chester Nez is named in honor of the last original Navajo Code Talker and WWII veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps. Chester is a fox red Labrador Retriever, trained by Hero Dogs Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising and training service dogs for veterans. He has been a certified facility dog since March 2017.
Amy and Chester work together to create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment in her office. We are grateful to have Chester as part of our practice—not only as a facility dog but also as Amy’s cherished family companion. He enjoys playing with his tennis ball, savoring treats, cuddling on the couch, getting belly rubs, and most importantly, helping clients feel safe, supported, and cared for.
